Trina Nahm-Mijo will oversee the implementation of the instruction and training of the youth trainees at the center. She has a Master’s in Educational Psychology from the University of Hawai`i at Manoa and a doctorate from UC Berkeley. She has over 15 years of administrative experience as well as four years as a grant manager of federal grants at Hawai`i Community College and over 30 years of nonprofit experience.

Natec has been a professional videographer and editor for eight years specializing in short documentaries and theatrical presentations. She has been teaching for over 30 years. She has taught video production for the 4H and the Hiccup Circus in Puna, and she is presently teaching at the Performing Arts Learning Center at Hilo High School and instructing at Kea'au Middle College High School.

After graduating from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a BA in Finance, Jon went back to school to pursue one of his passions, culinary arts, at Kendall College in Evanston, Illinois.Jon has over 25 years of cooking experience, with eight years as a professional chef. He has taught/coached students of all ages for over five years. His wide array of work experiences combine to allow for a unique perspective on culinary arts, catering, and business.
